I do not recommend this dealership.
I do not recommend this dealership. I came in with a pre-approval and a specific vehicle in their inventory, expecting a straightforward purchase. Instead, the process was disorganized from start to finish. Communication was excessive and borderline harassing for days, yet they failed to get required information to my bank in a timely manner (Valencia) — after multiple days of disruption and delay, I took time off of work to liaison for bank and dealership (dealership was unresponsive to lenders outreach). We live nearly three hours away, and the manager agreed to meet halfway to complete the transaction. On the day of, he told the salesperson (Ernesto) not to honor that. I signed all paperwork and confirmed the title details at signing. Six weeks later, finance (Bernardo) contacted me saying they missed required title signatures and asked me to re-sign documents already completed, while attempting to keep the original transaction date. Ernesto was our direct sales contact and did his best to navigate what felt like a very dysfunctional internal process. He shows potential as an emerging leader, but seems limited by the lack of organization and support around him. Overall, highly unprofessional and poorly managed. I would not trust this team in any capacity.

I did end up purchasing the vehicle, but the buying
I did end up purchasing the vehicle, but the buying process raised concerns. Initially, a $2,500 paint protection package and a $500 VIN etch were presented as required for purchase, despite not being included in the advertised price online. I asked/refused 3 different times, in different ways, and each time they implied both were unable to be removed from the deal. Eventually, I was assured multiple times that both items would be removed, including on day of purchase when I called ahead to get a verbal assurance before driving over 3 hours roundtrip to the dealership. Despite this, the VIN etch still appeared on the final contract at signing. Although the finance manager corrected it once I pointed it out, it was concerning that a repeatedly rejected add-on made it back into the final deal. From further research, this is not the first time this has happened to potential customers of Russ Darrow Kia. However, I must mention that the vehicle itself is driving great! I just wish the buying process didn't include so much drama.

Sarena was completely rude to me and blamed me because Kia has an update to fix the issue with lack of security. Nobody ever told me about this update.

I had a pretty poor experience recently at this
I had a pretty poor experience recently at this dealership. I lease a car from here and I had called about an error I was getting that caused my car to not start at an intersection more than once. I was also due for a standard oil change. When I brought the car in I had brought it in for the oil change and the error issue. I was told I had a recall to my car and that was more than likely the issue I was facing. They had my care for two days and when I picked up the car, all was good. Until a week later I went to start my car and the same error occurred, this time leaving me with a dead car - it would not start. I was to be in Chicago this day, so I started googling what it could be. ( this was same error I had brought it in for) and one of the things was dead/low battery. So I called the dealership and has asked right off the bat when an oil change is done what is completed. The listed a few things and also stated running a battery test. Once I popped my hood I saw that my coolant and my washer fluid hadn't even look touched ( I took pictures of the results) and I was able to jump it and bring it in someplace else on a Sunday to get battery tested and it instantly failed. I then had the battery swapped and I haven't had any issues. I have since then ( the last 6 days) been trying to get ahold of any leadership and have yet been able to be called back. I have called every day with no results. I am HUGE on customer service and also trusting that when work is being done that all points are being done. The misses I experienced were controllable and inconvenient and for me

Usually you can work something out with the sales person
Usually you can work something out with the sales person and then alking to the manager. This was a huge matter to us and we felt like we weren't even taken seriously. It was all their way, or nothing. At one point we even felt like they lied to us. We were definitely not their first priority throughout the entire ordeal. We would never go back to Russ Darrow. Ever.

When an unforeseen issue came up recently, the GM stepped in right away and worked closely with me to find a solution. I truly appreciated how proactive and dedicated they were to making things right. The staff was helpful, responsive, and genuinely invested in my experience. Usually you can work something out with the sales person
Usually you can work something out with the sales person and then alking to the manager. This was a huge matter to us and we felt like we weren't even taken seriously. It was all their way, or nothing. At one point we even felt like they lied to us. We were definitely not their first priority throughout the entire ordeal. We would never go back to Russ Darrow. Ever.

Great sales service. However pricing was very confusing. Although the ad stated "discount" it was actually reflective of financial offers and wasn't a dealer discount from the MRRP. Very confusing, and not well explained on their website. Sales reps, Dusty and Scott, were great.

All of the staff there were very accommodating, helpful, and pleasant to work with. They all went out of their way to help me fix an issue that needed attention. It was a long, frustrating process but the staff made the experience 100x better.
